A Brief History of the State Bank of Lucan
In November of 1935, a group of supporters in the Lucan area met to purchase shares of stock for the new "State Bank of Lucan." Within two months all the remaining shares of stock were purchased and on March 30, 1936, their application for a charter was accepted by the Commissioner of Banks, Robert D. Beery.
Since that time, the State Bank of Lucan has provided banking services to the Lucan community and surrounding area.
Our mission statement typifies our desire to meet the financial needs of our community, its businesses, and its people.
